Quick Rajma (Kidney Beans Curry)

Kidney Beans Curry (Rajma)

15 oz can of kidney beans (washed and drained)
2 medium onion (chopped)
1 small tomato (chopped)
1 tablespoon oil
¼ cup sour cream (alternate: whole milk)
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon garam masala powder 
2 green chilli
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ turmeric powder
Salt to taste 

Few Cilantro (Coriander) leaves to garnish
½ teaspoon ghee or butter

1 Heat oil in medium heat. Sauté onions untill golden brown.
2 Add sour cream, ginger, chilli, garam masala and salt. Stir for few minutes on low- medium heat.
3 Add kidney beans and tomato.
4 Simmer for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
5 Garnish with cilantro leaves and ghee. Serve hot with rice or roti.

Canned kidney beans is used for a quick recipe. If canned kidney beans are not available or inferior in quality, soak kidneybeans for at least 24 hours or boil half hour for quick results.

Rajma Curry is a best way to eat the canned kidney beans. Try it if you have not.
